ESCAPE THE BUSTLE OF MARRAKESH

Nestled in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, the Ourika Valley set at around 1,300 metres makes a popular day trip from Marrakesh at just 30km from the city centre. A lush expanse of terraced fields and forested hillsides, the valley provides a picturesque backdrop and offers visitors cultural and sporting activities with its verdant hills set against the stark red rock of the mountains. At the heart of the valley are the dramatic Setti Fatma falls, a series of 7 cascading waterfalls that flow into the Ourika River.

The area’s main attraction is its traditional Berber settlements. The main Berber village of Setti Fatma, maintains a traditional way of life, with organic herb farming, producing pottery works and handicrafts to sell and serving a range of homemade tajines and breads in the valley’s restaurants.

This tour offers you a complete change of scenery from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh, relax in the breathtaking scenery, dip in the water of the Setti Fatma waterfalls, eat the local cuisine and experience the Berber culture first hand.
